Name:
William Turner

Biography:
Will is the only child of William “Bootstrap Bill” Turner. He strongly resembles his father, both in appearance
and physical ability. However, his father was absent during his childhood in England and Will grew up
believing him to be a merchant sailor lost at sea. After his mother's death Will, at about 12 years old, journeyed
to the Caribbean to search for his long lost father. That journey ended quickly however when the vessel he was
sailing on was attacked by the pirate ship
the Black Pearl.

William survived the attack and was rescued by the British Royal Navy. This was also the day he met Elizabeth
Swann, the Governor of Port Royal's daughter. They returned to Port Royal with Will where he eventually
became a blacksmith's apprentice.

Over the years he became extremely skilled at his trade, practiced swordplay and admired Elizabeth from a
distance. Life for Will remained fairly uneventful until one day when he came home to find a pirate in his shop.

Although mild-mannered, Will is fiercely loyal to those he cares about and would risk everything when they
are in danger or in need. At his best Will is clever, heroic, commanding and courageous, but he can also be
preoccupied and brooding.
