Biography: Isabel hails from the Netherlands, a descendant of Dutch cloth merchants. As a young girl she heard tales from exotic and far away lands from her father, and from these tales a sense of wonder lust was instilled in her heart. After coming of age she began to accompany her father on various voyages and from these experiences her sense as a merchant and as a sailor began to grow, as well as her standing in various Dutch social circles.
After a union with the Dutch East India Company the "spice and silk trade" with the Far East were at an all time high. Sugar, cinnamon, and silk were worth there weight in guilders in the markets of Europe. The Van Naaister's fortune began to grow but as fate would have it greed and deceit were what the Van Naaisters would ultimately receive. Jealous merchants accused the Van Naaister family’s good fortune on acts of piracy and expulsion from the East India Company soon followed. Vowing to avenge her family, Isabel embraced her new pirate status and began a private war with the Dutch East India Company.
An ally to many of the pirates west of Madagascar she continues on this personal quest to this day. Known now as Isabel the Red she is a formidable pirate quick with the cutlass and blade.
