Name:
Bowen MacGregor

Biography:
Bowen was born on a stormy December day, and thus started his life of turmoil. His tyrant father, Angus
MacGregor, raised him in the highland banks of Loch Katrine, near Trossachs Scotland. Angus taught Bowen the
old ways of weaponry and combat that had been passed down through the generations. He became more and more
skilled with each passing year. Forbidden to show any pain he laughed at every injury that came his way. Through
this he grew strong and unforgiving.

One day Bowen's father was ambushed by their vengeful enemy, the Laughlans. With his father dead, Bowen
sought to leave his former life behind and start anew. As luck would have it he spied a ship getting ready to make
way from the loch. Being only a landlubber it took a bit of convincing the ship's bo'sun, but Bowen was quite
persuasive and earned himself a job aboard the merchant ship
McCabe.

The ship
McCabe, once out in the Atlantic, set a course for southwest. Each day it took Bowen farther and farther
from his home and his past. Being of quick mind and strong back Bowen learned steadfast the life of a seaman.
One morning they came upon another ship. Thats the day when Bowen saw the
McCabe's colors hoisted for the
first time. It was at the moment that he realized that he was indeed a member of a pirate crew! Bowan felt his
blood stir. Not at the idea of being a pirate, but at the idea of the coming battle! The
McCabe quickly caught up
with the opposing ship. As the crew began to board the captain gave no quarter. Bowan drew his sword and
mercilessly  killed every man that came his way. Even the pirate crew was put aback by such skill and cruelty.
From that day the crew revered him like none before.

Many years later he found himself in a small port town doing what he does best. At the end of a sword stood a
young bar wench. As she pleaded for mercy Bowen went to give his final blow. Suddenly a small boy ran up and
knocked away Bowen's sword with his own. The boy stood between Bowen and the girl holding a sword half his
size up as far as he could.

Bowen went reeling back. His memory flashed to the days of his troubled youth. Looking at the boy he realized
that he had become no better than his tyrant father.

Sheathing his sword Bowan reached into his pocket and took out two gold pieces, giving one to both the boy and
the young wench.  After that day Bowan vowed to change. Now he often gives coins and trinkets to children and
street rats wherever he goes and is always ready to unleash is wrath on those who mistreat them.
